Felt like getting some nice pictures taken, while Mel practices with her camera.
Loved the fact that we caught the sunset for perfect lighting!
Mel was so very patient with me and all my qualms- I really was not all that comfortable the first hour of the shoot! But think in the end it turned out pretty nicely!

CASUAL DAY!
I just love South Africa :)
We get a NATIONAL CASUAL DAY! Yes a day where you can dress casually for work, school etc.
This year's theme is DRESS FOR LAUGHTS!
This is what I'm wearning - nothing special just chucked on almost every bracelet and necklace I could find!

30 Seconds to Mars will be touring South Africa in November 2010.
We are all so excited, missed them the time they were here, now they are back!
Heard announcement that the Golden Circle tickets are sold out - Thank goodness I bought mine on Friday.
This is going to be an amazing show, with my best friends and my mom rocking out!

IRENE FARM
I really love the farm life...
Guess living in the big city makes you realise that - there must be more!
So guess my new dreams are starting - I want to live on a farm one day!

DOING YOUR BIT
Are you doing your bit?
You know the little things in life are the things that truely count!
I started this year with the hopes and dreams to be more ME, to become the person I want ME to be!
This has not been a easy journey, I have had to say to myself - YOU CAN DO IT and did it!
One of the things that I really wanted to do this year is COMMUNITY WORK. I used to do allot of these types of things at school - and actually liked it allot. To make someone smile is a true blessing to the soul.
Mandela Day 18 June 2010 kicked it off for me - I spent the day in the park with children from shelters, played, face painted, jumped on jumping castles and gave 100x hugs!
It was such a fun day that I signed up with Nkosi's Village to assist the children with Afrikaans lessons.
I must say it is a challenge, we are basically helping with HOMEWORK on a SATURDAY - YUCK!
Who wants to do homework on a Saturday?? Well THEY DO! I was surprised that they were really getting into it and LOVING IT! :)
This weekend we have another lesson and I am very excited - Hope we have fun and learn allot.
So my thoughts are that you should do something...
It could be big or small, like even picking up litter HELPS!
Come on be a sport - DO IT!
