Pictured GOOGLE image today and Thomas Edison
Thomas Alva Edison (February 11, 1847 – October 18, 1931) was an American inventor, scientist, and businessman who developed many devices that greatly influenced life around the world, including the phonograph, the motion picture camera, and a long-lasting, practical electric light bulb. Dubbed "The Wizard of Menlo Park" (now Edison, New Jersey) by a newspaper reporter, he was one of the first inventors to apply the principles of mass production and large teamwork to the process of invention, and therefore is often credited with the creation of the first industrial research laboratory.[1]
Edison is considered one of the most prolific inventors in history, holding 1,093 US patents in his name, as well as many patents in the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. He is credited with numerous inventions that contributed to mass communication and, in particular, telecommunications. These included a stock ticker, a mechanical vote recorder, a battery for an electric car, electrical power, recorded music and motion pictures. His advanced work in these fields was an outgrowth of his early career as a telegraph operator. Edison originated the concept and implementation of electric-power generation and distribution to homes, businesses, and factories – a crucial development in the modern industrialized world. His first power station was on Manhattan Island, New York.

On Saturday it my 26th Birthday!
I was lucky enough to spend the day with my Afrikaans class – we enjoyed some cupcakes and juice. Was so much fun and the girls loved that we finally did some story reading and I used my best voices for Little Red Ridding Hood and the Wolf J
If you feel like making a difference in these children’s lives please have a look at their website and the wonderful work the organization does - http://www.nkosishaven.org/

HOW DO YOU MAKE A MAN?
Cross a bear, a Fish and a baboon - Then you get a grumpy creature that drinks all day and constantly fiddles with it's balls !. .
HOW DO YOU MAKE A WOMAN?

BUY FLOWERS – Spoil yourself or a loved one and get some flowers. Can be small bunch from your garden or ordered always a nice surprise.
TAKE THE LONG WAY HOME – I did this the other day and discovered a lovely little shopping centre that has allot of craft stores. So take the long way or just a different route and you might also discover something.
WATCH THAT MOVIE WITH THE SUBTITLES – I always try and avoid these movies, I guess I just don’t feel like reading, but on Saturday I started watching a movie with subtitles and was brilliant! I guess one is challenged one can enjoy more?
EMERGENCY NUMBERS – Find the emergency numbers for your area and put them up. On Monday we had a colleague that had an allergic reaction to a wasp sting, we were a little confused as we were in Rustenburg – If it wasn’t for Google and my Blackberry I would have not found the hospitals number. So look what the numbers are and keep them in your wallet or on the wall for easy access when required.
GOALS – Write down your goals for the year and place them in a secret place, you should open it at the end of the year and see if you reached them.
I don’t know if this was a compliment or insult – I am turning 26 on Saturday, but the new ladies at the office thought I was turning 23.
:) SMILES *I Think?
So guess Im still young or look good for my age hahaha who knows.
So here is to looking 23, but turning 26!
ROLLING BACK THE YEARS!

Is there a cure for the addiction to this series – I JUST CANT GET ENOUGH!
Matthew and I have also now started watching the Series over from Season 1 #Bliss
Don’t we all have some sort of habit? Some good, some bad and some just mundane?
Well I was thinking today – I have a few that I have noticed.
1. When Matthew gets out the car in the morning, I fix the mirrors then turn up the radio.
2. I always lock my door by closing it and never lock with key *thus I have locked myself out a few times.
3. I always say HOLA when talking and OLA when typing.
4. I always leave any do my make-up in car.
5. I double moisturize in the morning?? But never in the evening???
I am weird I think??
These are things that I have done or want you to try this week:
1. HOLIDAY – Plan a holiday or weekend away. I am trying to do this for our 5 year anniversary this year and it’s a mission, but once you start with a few ideas it really comes together. I am feeling like a African Safari with no cellphones and only the WILDLIFE and US :)
2. EXERCISE – Its February so now is the perfect time to get back to gym, so many people started in January and have probably stopped already. So get up and go swim, box, cycle and stretch yourself out for the new year.
3. WASH YOUR CAR – Yeah it’s a chore, but in Sunny SA you could even catch a nice tan while doing it. Also I found a few things in my car I have been looking for ages – So you might just also find some treasures if your anything like me.
4. PHONE A FRIEND – With facebook, twitter, email and bbm I hardly ever phone people anymore. Pick up the phone and catch up – it will make your day! *also catch up on some gossip
5. READ – If it is a newspaper, magazine or book read something other than on the internet. Get the paper in your hands and let the letters and words absorb you a little.
Hope you try some of these out – A little change or new experience here and there is always good!
There is one thing that I absolutely adore – SUNSETS – I try and take a picture everyday of the Sunset from my home – LOVE IT! Here are the ones that I have gotten from Dec 2011 – Jan 2011
(It has been raining allot and some nights I miss Sunset due to being stuck in traffic)
So he did it..
Torres moved to Chelsea, my heart is so sore that he is no longer with Liverpool.
Good luck you sexy beast!
