Tomorrow...

Ever wonder what the word Tomorrow represents?
The day after today. Another 24 hours. One sleep away, then that song form Annie comes to mind Tomorrow! Tomorrow! is only a day away!.

Well tomorrow I have been hearing since the 3 January 2007, regarding our work air-conditions to be installed fixed and finally working!
And tomorrow has finally arrived! The aircon guys are here and it seems by this afternoon we will have aircon. OH HAPPY DAY OH HAPPY DAY OH HAPPY DAY! (The movie Sister’s Act soundtrack is playing around in my head!) I am so glad, as we been having this dreaded heat wave and been uncomfortable with no aircon!

So lets hope it works!

Efforts in making a friend smile…

So I have my one of my favorite tracks, (for the last 5 months) PUT YOUR HANDS UP FOR DETROIT, I go crazy about this song and get my groove on, now for me it’s a great track, little lyrics and great beat, but for some people it does not have any great memories… :(
So what do I do? Do I drag her @ss to the dance floor? Do I pretend to not to like the song? Do I just sing along quietly? NOWAY! I buy her the biggest drink, drag her @ss to the dance floor and make a NEW MEMORY! Claudette trying to get her to make smile I change the lyrics…. Instead of Put Your Hands Up for Detroit it becomes DRINK YOUR DRINK UP, DRINK YOUR DRINK UP! Its funny! And she smiles! Mission accomplished!

She smiles, I smile, We smile!
So now I have created a monster, I can see that every time we go out… CLAUDETTE will have to DRINK YOUR DRINK UP, DRINK YOUR DRINK UP!But all good, as long as my CANADIAN accent doesn’t get used again!

San... she is sucha sweetheart. Its weird how you can not see a friend for such a LONG time but where you grow up, life and everything else that happens, changes you, but people from your past, make, break or keep you totally grounded!
San is just that, I have realised that people from the coast are not all Hill Billy's as I once thought JOKE!
We all have a connection, some how, no matter how big or small, there just will always be a connection!
I LOVE PORT SHEPSTONE my home town!
Look forward to one day settling down there in my rocking chair over looking the ocean...

Monday - Voiceless

I FEEL FAT!
NO REST FOR THE WICKED!
Geoff called me bright and early to see if I would keep my word and go with him to sort his stolen phone out… so I did, very sleepy and very “fat” (my skirt, shirt and everything just seemed to small) went with him to the mall.
MTN IS THE WORST SERVICE PROVIDER EVER (will not go into this either)
Geoff asked me what was the oil marks on my shirt and notices a tear in my skirt, a kinda big tear… how embarrassing, you could see my sexy granny panties! I was so not confident and wanted to cry!
This tear became bigger and BIGGER! It was just plain embarrassing I FELT SO FAT!

So we get home and I changed so quickly into a stretch skirt (my fat skirt) and felt a lil better.
I also made breakfast and the day went by just chilling!

Dropped San off and witnessed a stunning sunset… could not wait to get to bed! Slept like a baby! :-)

Saturday - Fourways

So we came home around 4 am and the waking up was a lil bit of a problemo, as the tummies where starting to rumble, Geoff invited us to go with him for breakfast (more like lunch tho) Cresta was same old same old with SALE signs everywhere, but we avoided all of the stores where possible! Lunch was good, good old WIMPY, yummy, ok so its not the best but the oily food was good for me hanging a lil.
We had our nap, was so nice and Geoff arranged that we finally do some JHB NORTH clubbing (yes yes im not a snob, but partying in the North is more my scene).

So San cooked me a awesome pasta, enough to last me 5 weeks! Hehehe (had some this morning again thanks)

We got ready for BILLY THE B.U.M.B.S.
It was happening and I yet again threw my name away again… (still looking for it from Friday night)
Fontana’s was our last stop for the evening, I was so CANADIAN! It was hilarious! Well I thought I was!. Anywo eve ended with some guys stealing Geoff’s phone and me saying sorry all the way home :-( SORRY AGAIN MY FRIEND!
We crawled to bed again and I hoped I could sleep in…
Cuddled up with teddy was great!

Friday - BOKSBURG

So we headed off to fetch San in Centurion and on the way we had karaoke, then headed to BOKSBURG nogal! We waited a while and I got my Mc Donalds (this was evident as there were fries all over Geoff var the next morning).
So we got to PRESLEYS / MONROE’s, we for liked to be the hippest people of that palace! I have never laughed so much in my life either, the people where not normal, they were of BOKSBURG so should explain EVERYTHING! (Not that im knocking Boksburg, it just has its reputation!)
I saw people with Afro’s, mullets and mustaches as long as the NILE RIVER! Hehehe
Was so much fun and think I really irritated Geoff and Smiley, San just laughed at me and I think at one stage we almost wet ourselves laughing!

I am soooooo glad it is Friday!
I mean this week has just been a lil hectic? Well kinda, not that I worked 5 days or anything? Just that it has been so hot with this heat wave and me being back in JHB :-( Really wish I was on HOLIDAY!
Anywoo it’s Althea’s 21st next weekend and looks like Matthew will be able to make it to the party as my date WHOHOOO! Its going to be such a awesome weekend having him here! Then the weekend after that I’m back on the coast for one night with Nadine to visit my folk and we going away somewhere and mom is planning whole adventure, with boat cruise on the harbour, going to the revolving restaurant for dinner and just being with Nadine and the family is going to be great!

So last night Geoff and myself were chilling at my house telling our holiday stories, I had my hour of japing and he spoke for about 5 min hehehehe. Then we headed to the movies to go see FLUSHED AWAY. I thought it was good, the British acents of the rats where brilliant and really added a hint that British Comedy, that I love so much!
The kid sitting behind us really enjoyed the movie and his giggles and laughs got me enjoying the movie a great deal more!
Anywoo thanks Geoff, it was fun to catch up again!

Ok ok ill get back to work now :-(

01/01/2007 BACK IN JHB :(

Arrived safely...

FIRST DAY AT WORK
So here I am finally at work again…
And as soon as I entered the building I knew that something was not right…
You know that scary creepy feeling you get when you enter a old house, the dark basement or a empty parking lot? It was that feeling… very weird as it was round about 8am in the morning, sun was out and birds and bees where zooming bye, there was no traffic, there was not a long queue to get into the office building… it was just strange, VERY STRANGE!
So I entered and was greeted by all the friendly faces :-) the faces seems to have been too friendly, so in my mind I said “Come on relax, you can do this, you are a pro blah blah” So I did the whole meet greet and wish well for the New Year and headed to my office.
To my surprise the ceiling was indented, ok that is a understatement, it was in caved, ready to collapse… it was plane scary! This was still fine in the morning but as the day progressed, a very hot day I might add with the aircon not working, it got worse and worse! I was actually betting on when the ceiling was going to collapse and who it would hit first hehehe :-) (im so silly) anywo so we had the bright idea of inspecting what was pressing the ceiling down, and to our surprise the cables had snapped! Now we are sitting under a ceiling less office, GREAT industrial look, it is creepy man!

So everything that could possibly go wrong has gone wrong this week, no aircon, no shaded parking (o ja the one shading parking space collapsed too), no Lulu’s (the café in the complex for yummy eats), no ceiling, no pc (I have been kicked off mine for a consultant to use), a broken phone and I really hope that is the end of it! Will have to see :-(

Luckily I work with nice people and we can all bitch and moan all day without getting on each other nerves!

So lets just hope it all gets better soon!

Last day on the coast :(

Last day on the coast...
It was so awesome waking up and knowing it is a NEW YEAR, new beginnings, new friendships etc etc.
I slept in a lil and was soooooo nice to relax, the hours where ticking closer and closer to my departure time. I was so sad, put on my brave lil face.
I packed my bags, sorted thru my things of my holiday, copied all my pictures to a disk and for a few moments just smiled with bliss.
THIS WAS A AWESOME HOLIDAY!

Thank you to all my old friends, new friends, Matthew, San, Mom, Dad and EVERYONE who made my holiday soooooooooooo awesome!
You are all so special to me LOVE YOU LOTS!
