So finally finished my book and it was gripping and a good hard read.
It took me to the scary depths of addiction and what actually happens in Rehad. So while reading I knew in the back of my mind that it is all a lie, yes its true that the book is not 100% accurate and the debate rages on regarding it. I thought the book was good, with or without the fact that it is a true story. I think it is good and will recommend it to people. It is the first book my sister read NON STOP. And to tell you the truth I found it hard to actually put it down! So im back in the reading of books and happy! So next I have one of my mom’s book ITS ME ANNA by Elbie Lötter and a book Nadine was reading GIRL WITH A ONE TRACK MIND (also a very controversial book) so when they done will give you feedback on them too :0)
We should definitely start reading MORE!
So go out and buy a BOOK TODAY!
A Million little pieces is a very gripping story! I recommend this to everyone! Although Oprah took it of her bookclub because he added some untrue detail, I still think it is excellent! The extra detail makes it a little more gripping! And it is not like his little lies are impossible! I am sure it has happened to someone, somewhere!
ReplyDeleteI also recommend his second book, "my friend Leonard" It is not as gripping as A million little pieces, but it is a follow up to what happened after he completed rehab! example: " Lilly's grandma died and she commited suicide in Chicago the day James was released from jail!" Hard to keep back the tears in both books!!
I'ts me Anna-I read this book to, was very emotional! Things like that happen to girls and guys on a daily basis! SHOCKING!
Haven't read the book that Nadine read, can't remember right now what it is called-but will definitely look for it at the Libarary!
Another good book to read is "My Story" by Dave Pelzer! Keep that in mind to!
I don't like reading, but when it comes to real life stories, I can't put the book down!!
Take care
Melissa
