deur sy radikale idees
met ons Matrick 40 days
toe ons die skool ge-ambush het
met water ballone en fireworks.
Die hoof het ons met groot
oortygeng belowe dat niemand in
sy skool sal 40 days he nie, mar n
paar van ons en veral
Eldan het ander planne gehaat.
Ons het die wind uit al wat onderwyser
is se seile gehaal en n goeie afronding
tot n goeie jaar gehaad.
Eldan was bang vir niemand of niks.
Cheers ou mater jy is n legend.

I remember the first week of Standard 6, we all looked so silly in our uniforms, we were not used to wearing shoes, we had our bags pack and ready to grow up into adults, Eldan helped me carry my heavy bag and made the first day a lil easier.
We had the Tomatoes fight in CSV and Eldan was on my team, we kicked butt, but when the war was over we all turned on our team mates, was so silly and so much fun.
Standard 7 when I decided to join the Woodwork class, I was useless and Eldan was always willing to help me out with the heavy duty stuff and every now and again take the saw dust and put it in my blazer pockets and hair :) I never minded it as he was a cool friend.
Standard 8 came around and we did not have the same classes, he was way smarter than me!
Standard 9 came and prefects were being selected, he made me sign my paper as I was nominated but wanted to be a real kid in matric with no responsibilities!
Matric came and he gave me so much grieve and made being a prefect hard for me, he was such a sweetheart and we chatted often abt music (or my lack of any knowledge of music) I remember him helping me in Biology crip the one day, I had no idea how to do it but he helped me, he was soooooooooo clever!
We had awesome parties at my house he hated the music but always brought all his friends and had a good time trying to corrupt the exchange student! Hehehehe
40 days… LEGEND! Only Eldan could be the master mind behind everything!
Just before exams he used to give me lil punch for good luck :) made me smile and relax
Matric dance he looked smashing…
I’m going to miss seeing him in his garden as I drive past, him playing with his brother, telling me to stop being a Good Girl hehehehe
I might have only known him for a short while but he was truly a wonderful person, his memory will live on forever in my heart and everyone that knew him and loved him.
To you Eldan, may you rest in peace my dear friend

ReplyDeleteEk is vreeslik jammer oor wat gebeur het. Ek het well Eldan nie baie goed geken nie, maat hy het seker gemaak almal ken hom met sy goeie hart.

Christinne word nie gevrywaar van hartseer nie, maar ons het middele om dit te verwerk sonder om in duie te stort. Hiervoor het on JESUS, sy genade, sy algenoegsaamheid en ook sy Woord, sy beloftes, sy wysheid.

Ek kan se dat Eldan altyd ons vriende groep bymekaar gehou het met sy amazing idees en planne vir die toekoms!!
Ek sal nooit vergeet hoe hy my elke vrydag as ek met my gholfstokke by die skool aankom hoe sleg hy my uitgehaal het daaroor nie, en off course hoe gay ek met my gholfklere gelyk het nie!!
Dit was daardie klein dinge wat hom so n wonderlike persoon en vriend, beste vriend gemaak het!!!!
Aan Eldan se ouers,oom tannie julle seun was n mens met n groot hart en n ware vriend!!!Weet net my gebede is met tannie hulle en Eldan sal veraltyd Anlewe in ons harte en gedagtes!!!
Hy was in die ware sin van die woord, n LEGEND!!!!!!!!!!!
